Supervision for Schools & Educational Professionals

Supporting Those Who Support Others

I offer individual and group supervision for school staff who are supporting children and young people with emotional wellbeing, mental health, safeguarding and complex pastoral needs.

This may include Senior Mental Health Leads, DSLs, SENCOs, pastoral staff, family liaison workers, teachers, support staff and senior leaders.

School staff are often holding emotionally demanding situations, including anxiety, self-harm, trauma, family breakdown, bereavement, school refusal and safeguarding concerns. Professional supervision provides a confidential, reflective space to think through this work safely and ethically.

Supervision can help staff to:

  • reflect on complex cases

  • maintain safe and ethical practice

  • reduce emotional overload

  • recognise and manage vicarious trauma

  • feel less isolated in their role

  • strengthen boundaries and confidence

  • support staff wellbeing and resilience

Sessions can be offered individually or as reflective practice groups, online or by arrangement.

As an experienced counsellor, qualified clinical supervisor, former Senior Counselling Manager and previous Mental Health Lead, I understand the pressures schools face and the importance of having a safe space to process the emotional impact of supporting children and families.

I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor, BACP Registered Counsellor and NCPS Accredited Professional with over 15 years' experience supporting children, young people and adults.

I hold a BACP-accredited Higher Education Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.

My professional background includes Senior Counselling Management within the NHS, school-based counselling, Mental Health Lead experience, safeguarding, risk assessment and multi-agency working, clinical supervision, supporting counsellors, trainees and educational professionals, alongside facilitating staff wellbeing, reflective practice and professional development.

I understand the unique challenges faced by educational settings and provide a supportive, reflective space where staff can safely explore the emotional impact of their work, develop confidence in decision-making and maintain sustainable and ethical practice
